Synopsis

Zack Taylor has spent most of his life drifting through factory jobs, parties, and empty relationships with no real direction. After being laid off from his Detroit factory job, he heads south searching for a fresh start and lands in a quiet Kentucky town where life appears simple on the surface.

There, he meets Kate Jenkins, a diner waitress trying to escape her abusive ex-boyfriend, Tommy Ray — a former high school football star whose bitterness and violence have only grown with time. Zack and Kate quickly form a deep connection, but Tommy refuses to let her go, especially to an outsider.

As Zack settles into the town, he befriends Max, the factory’s gentle autistic janitor. But when Max stands up to Tommy and his friends, the confrontation turns brutal, exposing a web of fear, corruption, and silence surrounding the town’s powerful families.
